About the Project
Designing UX for a project management tool. I conducted research and identified technical characteristics of the product to be developed, formed flow, designed the layouts and assembled UI components.
Process
The design process consisted of the following stages:
- Empathy. At this stage, I immersed myself in the project manager's work process, what he needs to do, how to view, what to monitor, and what he needs at hand.
- Analysis of existing solutions. I reviewed how existing project management programs are implemented - from simple Trello to more complex Jira, Asana, Teams.
- User interviews. Conducted two interviews with project managers (one works at EPAM, the other at Tinkoff Bank) to study their experience in interacting with management products, learned their habits, tried to understand how they work and what inconveniences existing and used solutions provide them with.
- Based on the data, formed according to the JTBD "work" of users and based on this formed hypotheses.
- Formulated a list of solutions, stopped at two options, one of which was eventually implemented.
- Thought out the overall flow, taking into account user behavior patterns, and thought out UX.
